    Sometimes your system may display a message that this is an ssis error column. There can be several reasons for this problem. ErrorColumn contains the green ID of the error column. The column ID is a number that is effectively unique to the data stream in the batch. Similarly, ErrorCode contains the specific number of the error that caused the row to be rejected. SSIS does not currently provide a default ErrorColumn name or ErrorCode description.

    Hello Hari Chandan Uppu,

    How do I find the error column name in SSIS 2014?

    Click the Mapping tab and then map the source to the target columns as shown below: Click the Error Output tab and selectthose “Redirect string” in this error column as shown below and click “OK”. Return to the Data Flow task to set up the script component. Right-click on the GetErrorDetails installation and select the Edit option.

    As stated in the article, you need to select “Transformer” as the script component type.
    Hope this helps.

    Hi.. Got it

    I’ve never committed C# before and don’t know if this is the right way.

    PC problems? Solve them in minutes.

  • Step 1: Download and install ASR Pro
  • Step 2: Open the program and click "Scan"
  • Step 3: Click "Repair" to start the restoration process

  • But I got all the errors as below. No

    Error: There is a target with id 0

    I’m adding an extra string to evaluate the meaning of the string before letting the concept translate it. Now this shouldn’t fail.

    But I don’t know if this is true or if it will ever return results (if this check is actually valid). It might inspire a friend or relative to write a check for it all 🙂

    Public class ScriptMain: UserComponent

    ssis error column

    Replace public void Input0_ProcessInputRow(Input0Buffer Row)

    ssis error column

    Row.ErrorDescription equals this.ComponentMetaData.GetErrorDescription(Row.ErrorCode);

    Try it

    var componentMetaData130 means this.ComponentMetaData as IDTSComponentMetaData130;

    if (componentMetaData130 Null)

    if(String.ErrorColumn > 0)

    Row.ErrorColumnDescription = componentMetaData130.GetIdentificationStringByID(Row.ErrorColumn);

    catch (exception)

    String.ErrorColumnDescription = null;

    How do you trace errors in SSIS?

    In Solution Explorer, right-click on the SSIS package and simply select Run. The red cross icon still present in the Execute SQL task indicates which package failed to execute. Click directly on the Progress tab to see the error message that appears. If we look at each screenshot below, we can identify a common error message.

    What happened to the error?
    Maybe the error is related to the whole transformation and not to a specific column, so in each case Tea returns 0.

    Hi Cohen,

    Yes, I’m using a new code that worked great the day I implemented it. Here is what I have in the method.

    Row.ErrorDescription matches this.ComponentMetaData.GetErrorDescription(Row.ErrorCode);

    var componentMetaData130 This is =.ComponentMetaData as IDTSComponentMetaData130;

    if (componentMetaData130 != null)

    How does SSIS handle error rows?

    For error handling in SSIS, drag another OLE DB target to store error output. Then move the red line from data transformation (SSIS error output) to OLE DB Target 1.

    Row.ErrorColumnName = componentMetaData130.GetIdentificationStringByID(Row.ErrorColumn);

    I think the problem is almost certainly that the ErrorColumn ID is being restored as 0. While the OLE DB destination is being returned, did you know that the As is 0 in the error column?

    Imran, did the buyers use the updated method? Microsoft changed the feature structure during previews.

    The in method can be easily found in the introductory comment (by Phil).

    When I added this script component to my for package, it worked 100% with high quality. Basically I get the column and also the description.

    A few days later, today I’m running the same package with a new comments CSV file and popup script component. It shows me all errors and exceptions.

    Message 1 – [SSIS.Pipeline] Error: There is often no object with id 0,2

    Message – [Scripting Component [459]] Error: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0xC0047072): Exception from 0xC0047072

    Result: in Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Pipeline.ScriptComponentHost.HandleUserException(Exception e)

    in Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Pipeline.ScriptComponentHost.ProcessInput(Int32 inputID, Buffer)

    Pipelinebuffer on Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Pipeline.ManagedComponentHost.HostProcessInput(wrapper IDTSManagedComponentWrapper100, Int32 inputID, IDTSBuffer100 pDTSBuffer, IntPtr bufferWirePacket)

    During my analysis, I found that liking the ErrorColumn can be useful, as 0 is passed to the script component.

    I couldn’t figure out the reason for this, sounds good if someone could leave this for me.-

    Note. The resource is a CSV file and the target is a SQL table.
